since chabb is getting sentimental... i'd like to put in my two bits also...

this one's a poem and though it is not as literal as a song it kind of conveys the same message of loneliness and despair and regrets that one person feels when he or she is surviving a break up.

this is a poem i wrote way back after breaking up with someone and my thoughts on being apart and me just getting used to us not being together anymore not like the time when we were still a "we." this ex of mine was my blockmate in college and both of us had the same classes and every school day it was like breakfast, lunch and dinner with him... lolx

so when we broke up it was kinda sad to eat alone...

The art of eating alone.
They say this can be perfected
That this art is meditation.

When you eat alone
There is nothing
Between you and your food.

You are free to devour it,
Make it a part of you
With no interruption at all.

I have tried to master this art,
The art of eating alone
For days I have tried
To dine
To lunch
To break my fast
And not seek companionship.
I have tried not to let anything
Keep me from my food.

But, thoughts of you
Keep my food at bay
You not eating here

In front of me
Keeps me from tasting my food.
